even though i haven't met any one from the north of England i believe these performances are believable as Bradford is a run down area and everyone needs to chip in to get by because of the collapse that the area is still recovering from but focusing on the two main characters Swifty is a 12-13 year traveller from what we are told and he is obsessed with horses which is his outlet from his pretty bad life with his aggressive farther and weak mother who is easily bulled by the farther and helps his 4 siblings even though this is never stated but the performance is top notch of someone who is caring and dosent want anyone to get in trouble or to get hurt.
his best friend on the other hand Arbor performance is good but i think that Swifty's is much better as Arbor seems to adult to me as he dosent have anything defining about him but it dosent mean he isn't a good character he is about the same age as Swifty so about 12-13 and is a metal man and is focused on gaining money which is commendable but he does obsessed about it to much to the point where that clouds his vision when it comes to life which I don't think any sain human being would do but then again this role must of been difficult to pull of as the character has a server case of adhd which is a case of trouble you know that it is going to effect his life.
both characters are good enough to hold on there own with both of them having a deep personality i can see comparisons the characters to John Steinbeck of mice and men with the small one of the two being more vocal and decision making while the bigger one having an obsession of animals and is strong and is two nice to hurt anyone on purpose. which is not somthing i have the pleasure seeing alot.
the lighting in this is superb. as dusk or night falls apon the area crimes take place but then as dawn and morning rise the life takes it place and a aftermath comes over the neighbourhood and this then makes the previous day affect the community and focusing on the natural elements does help transmit all the realsim

Alex you have displayed some really strong understanding of the film in this piece. You make a very insightful comparison with a John Steinbeck (one of my favourites) classic. Your points on the lighting are also very pertinent. Going forward try and finish with a strong conclusion rounding up your key thoughts and points. Well Done Alex!
