750 word report

The making of my film was a balanced one filled with up and downs but all in all i enjoyed doing it and believe that what time i had left myself it was the best i could make but is no way the best I could of done if i had only planned more. areas i could of done better in is the organisation of when and where i was recording as well as leaving myself enough time to make my script better and my story board clearer to understand and to follow this hurt me in the long run as at it came to actual filming of the product it has a lot of the same shots and some of the timings are pretty bad and it was hard to follow as i had no transitions in the story board.

The making of the story board was fast and i thought i had included everything i needed to but apon filming i realised that there was no transitions within the story board also the timings where much shorter on my story board than what i thought they would be and because of this each section is not as in depth as i would of liked it to be.

The script writing was ok as I talked about each of the characters giving some details of the characters but not enough to be able to imagine the character and how they would react so the details wasn't there.

the editing was easy but some of the lighting in some of the other shots was poor meaning there was some times where one of the main characters couldn't be seen and if it was put to bright the main antagonist is couldn't be seen so some of the filters had to be changed as well as some of the exposure and contrast levels also some clips had to be muted so that music could be put over it and so that some of the scenes had music over it also while doing the filming or finding time to do the filming i struggled to get my actors and actresses to be at the same place at the same time as the time of filming took place during the family holiday season meaning people wanted to spend time with there families and it would be rude of me to tell them that they had to drop what ever they were doing to help me.

all in all the main thing that hurt me the most is the lack of planning i did as while filming everything was a lot more confusing and un-organised especially getting everyone together in the same place as well as the filming was difficult especially when it came to getting people to play the characters.

After showing the film to an audience one audience member said "during one scene you can hardly see one of the actors as his back is against s a window and then becomes a silhouette making it impossible to see facial or body expressions" he then went on to say "i admire the greys and blacks, giving it a gritty, urban, London gangster feel throughout the film".

while another audience member said "good varity of shots in the middle of the film and good music at the begginng and end" but she then goes on to say to many jump cuts that wernt needed" "didnt quite understand the narrative".

in closing the filming went well as well as the pre-production but the production of the film was poor as the faults in the planning hurt me later on which i will aim to fix in another time.
